CLEVELAND - - For her role in helping guide the Ball State women's volleyball team to a pair of sweeps at Northern Illinois last weekend, junior opposite Madison Buckley has been named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Â
Buckley, who earns the honor for the first time in her collegiate career, led all MAC players with a .595 (26-1-42) attack percentage last weekend, while ranking fourth among all conference players with a 4.33 kills-per-set average.
Â
She was the top attacker in both matches at NIU, starting with 12 kills and a .550 (12-1-20) hitting percentage in Friday's sweep. In Saturday's sweep against the Huskies, Buckley once again led all players with 14 kills while connecting for a match-best .636 (14-0-22) rate of success. She also collected four digs and two total blocks over the two wins.

Friday night's contest, which starts at 6 p.m., will be Ball State's annual Chirp or Treat night, with trick or treating on the Worthen Arena concourse from 5-6 p.m. prior to the match. Youth will receive free admission to the match with a paid adult ticket.
Â
