MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Ball State field hockey team (3-7, 2-2 MAC) keeps its winning streak alive after defeating Central Michigan (3-9, 0-5 MAC) 3-1 on the road Friday afternoon at Cristy Freese Field. Ball State has now won its last six contests against CMU.
Today's contest came down to the second 30-minutes of action after a scoreless first half. Central Michigan's Klara Mikulaskova found the back of the cage at the 35:12 mark of the third quarter to give the Chippewas the first score of the game.

After that, Grace Clokie tallied her second goal of the year to give Ball State the 2-1 edge over Central Michigan at the 52:41 mark of the final stanza.
With just over two minutes left in the game, Emma Hilton and Paloma Gomez Rengifo found van Hal for her second goal of the contest which ultimately sealed the two-goal victory for the Cardinals.
All-in-all today's game was an all-around strong performance which saw the Cardinals' defense limit the Chippewas to only one penalty corner.
