MAC Schedule Rotation: Football Cards host Broncos, Huskies, RedHawks and Falcons in 2024

MUNCIE, Ind. – Opponents for Mid-American Conference football games have been announced for the next three seasons, revealing a new scheduling model that eliminates the MAC East and West Divisions. While dates and times for the 2024 MAC football schedule have not been announced, the league announced today the four home and road opponents for each institution.
Among its four MAC home games next season, Ball State will host Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Miami and Bowling Green. On the road, the Cardinals will travel in 2024 to Ohio, Kent State, Central Michigan and Buffalo.
Those eight games complement next year's non-conference slate that includes a home opener against Missouri State and road matchups at Miami (FL), James Madison and Vanderbilt. View the 2024 Ball State football schedule here.
The new model allows for each team to face all 11 conference opponents home and away at least once during a three-year cycle. Additionally, the new format incorporates protected opponents based on geographic location and rivalries. Miami and Ohio, for instance, are a part of Ball State's schedule in each of the next three seasons.
With the elimination of divisions, the top two teams based on conference winning percentage will compete in the MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit.
Ball State MAC opponents, 2024 to 2026:
2024 Home: Bowling Green, Miami, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan
2024 Away: Buffalo, Central Michigan, Kent State and Ohio
2025 Home: Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Ohio
2025 Away: Akron, Miami, Toledo and Western Michigan
2026 Home: Akron, Central Michigan, Miami and Toledo
2026 Away: Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Ohio
