Webster, Herran & Orlando Earn All-MAC Honors; Orlando Voted to All-MAC Tourney Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Three Ball State men's tennis players have earned all-conference honors. Sophomore Nathaniel Webster, junior Eli Herran and senior Vince Orlando were tabbed to the first and second all-conference teams, respectively. Orlando was also voted to the All-MAC Tournament Team.
Webster compiled 25-10 overall singles record this season. Webster played at the No. 1 spot for the Cardinals in both singles and doubles. Webster closed out the season with an overall MAC ledger of 6-4 in singles play. In doubles, Webster broke even with a 12-12 overall record. With Webster's help, the Cardinals managed to earn the No. 3 seed in last weekend's MAC Tournament. Over the course of the season, Webster earned MAC Singles Player of the Week and MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors. Webster was also tabbed MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Herran, primarily played at the No. 4 singles position for the Cardinals while competing on court No. 2 in doubles. Herran finished the year with an overall singles ledger of 29-7 and had an 81 percent overall win percentage. Herran closed out the season winning eight-straight matches for a team best 9-1 ledger in conference play. In doubles, Herran owned a 17-10 overall mark. Throughout the course of the season, Herran won MAC Singles Player of the Week and MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
Orlando competed at the No. 2 singles position for most of the year and at No. 2 doubles. Orlando was moved to the top spot at the 2023 MAC Tournament after Webster suffered an injury in doubles play on the top court against host Western Michigan. Orlando dropped a close first frame that went to a tiebreaker and then was up 3-1 in the second set against the Broncos No. 1 player, Benjamin George.
