Cardinals Finish Seventh at MAC Championship

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Ball State women's golf team returned to the Kalamazoo Country Club for the final round of the Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday. Jasmine Driscoll led the Cardinals and tied for 24th.
"I'm really proud of this group and the growth we've shown over the course of this season," said Head Coach Cameron Andry. "We learned a lot of lessons this year, a few of them the hard way, but I know that will help us as we continue to build for the future."
Driscoll notched a birdie on the par-5 16th and finished the final round with an 81 (+9). She tied for 24th with a three-round tally of 235 (+19) and produced six birdies for the tournament, which led the team.
Kiah Parrott shot a 78 (+21) on the final day. She moved up one spot on the leaderboard into a tie for 29th with a three-round score of 237 (+21). She finished the tournament as one of just six golfers to record an eagle. She collected four birdies for the tournament.
Madelin Boyd tied for 29th with a three-round mark of 237 (+21). She posted a final round of 82 (+10) with a birdie on the par-4 14th. She produced three birdies for the tournament.
Sarah Gallagher recorded a final round of 82 (+10). She tied for 36th with a 241 (+25) and tallied five birdies across the three days.
Peyton Broce notched a final-round tally of 81 (+9). She produced two birdies across the two rounds she played.
The Cardinals finished the tournament in seventh place with a combined effort of 949 (+85). Kent State won the MAC title with an 875 (+11). Northern Illinois came in second with a 908 (+44), while Central Michigan placed third with a 912 (+48). Kent State's Leon Takagi claimed the individual title and was the only golfer to finish under par with a 215 (-1) for the tournament.
