Sajin Smith Earns MAC Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Junior Sajin Smith of the Ball State men's tennis team received Mid-American Conference Men's Singles Athlete of the Week.
After a standout freshman year for the Cardinals, Smith has battled injuries the last two seasons.
He made his comeback to the court in a big way Friday against Illinois State. Smith played at the No. 4 singles position and would be the deciding point for the match.
Smith earned a come from behind victory in a three-set thriller over the Redbirds Tomas Valencia. Smith defeated Valencia 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 to claim the 4-3 win for the Cardinals.
The Ball State men's tennis team will play at Big Ten foe Michigan State Friday, Feb. 3 at Noon.
