September 25, 2022 | Men's Tennis
DAYTON, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up its two-day weekend at the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament hosted by the University of Dayton.
The Cardinals went 11-7 in singles play and 8-1 in doubles action.
"It was a productive weekend for our team," Ball State head men's tennis coach Bill Richards said. "Overall I thought we played pretty well and everyone contributed. Our overall records in singles and doubles were good against solid competition."
Nathaniel Webster (3-0) and Jacks Lancaster (2-0) each posted undefeated singles records. Webster earned victories over all three of the Cardinals' opponents, Dayton, Northern Kentucky, and Xavier.
On Saturday, Ball State took all three doubles matches from Xavier.
For the weekend, Danilo Kovacevic paired up with Parrish Simmons winning all three of their doubles matches while Lancaster and Webster teamed up to take home a 2-0 doubles mark.
The Ball State men's tennis team will take a quick break next weekend before returning to the court on Oct. 7 when the Cardinals host the Ball State Fall Invite at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
