Coaching veteran to guide recruiting efforts in Muncie
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State head football coach Mike Neu has announced Aaron Ingram as the Recruiting and Personnel Specialist. Ingram arrived in Muncie as an offensive assistant following the 2021 season.
"I'm excited to have Aaron Ingram join our staff in a full-time capacity after volunteering for the last six months," Neu said. "He's got an unbelievable background running USA Football and brings great experience in the college world as a coach. It's going to be great to have him be part of our family here, and I love his work ethic and his energy. He's going to be a great asset to our program."
Ingram spent seven successful seasons as the general manager of the United States National Team as part of USA Football. During that time, he helped recruit and develop 24 players who are currently in the NFL, including the likes of Rashad Bateman (Ravens), Trevon Diggs (Cowboys), Mecole Hardman (Chiefs), Mac Jones (Patriots), D'Andre Swift (Lions), Jonathan Taylor (Colts), Chase Young (Commanders) and more.
Prior to his tenure with USA Football, Ingram was an offensive assistant at Nevada from 2014-15 where he helped the development of quarterback Cody Fajardo, who earned an NFL Combine invitation.
In the seven years before his stint at Nevada, Ingram was the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Sacramento State where he recruited 18 All-Big Sky honorees and was named a "Top Young Recruiter" by Phil Steele.
From 1999-2006, Ingram spent time coaching and recruiting at Fresno City College (1999-2001), San Jose City College (2002-03) and Foothill College (2004-06).
Ingram played quarterback, defensive back and kick returner at Cal State Hayward from 1993-94.
Ingram is married to his wife, Jamie, who is an assistant athletic director at Butler.
