Kickoff times announced for 2022 football season

Cardinals learn kickoff times for majority of upcoming season
MUNCIE, Ind. – Just shy of 100 days until the opening of the 2022 football season, Ball State has received its kickoff times for a majority of its upcoming schedule, the Mid-American Conference announced Thursday.
As previously announced, the Cardinals begin the season at Tennessee Thursday, Sept. 1 for a kickoff at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
The home opener the following week pits Ball State vs. Western Michigan for a 2 p.m. ET showdown in Scheumann Stadium, Sept. 10. The game will air on ESPN+.
Family weekend on Sept. 17 vs. Murray State and Homecoming vs. Eastern Michigan on Oct. 22 are also slated for a 2 p.m. ET kickoff. The Cardinals and Racers will play on ESPN+, while the contest against the Eagles is being labeled as a 12-day television selection.
Midweek #MACtion begins with Ball State traveling to Kent State (Nov. 1) and Toledo (Nov. 8). Both games are scheduled to begin at either 7 or 7:30 p.m. ET depending on the TV partner choice.
The Cardinals' home finale vs. Ohio Nov. 15 is set for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, while the Red Bird Rivalry at Miami (Nov. 22) starts at 7 p.m. ET on either ESPNU or ESPN+.
Ball State's games at Georgia Southern (Sept. 24) and home against Northern Illinois (Oct. 1) and UConn (Oct. 15) will be announced within the 12-day TV selection window.
This year's MAC title game is set Dec. 3 at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. for a 12 p.m. ET kickoff.

Ball State is coming off back-to-back seasons with bowl appearances for the third time in program history and has won 13 games over the last two campaigns, the most of any MAC team.
