Kim Produced Top-15 Finish at Colonel Classic

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Ball State women's golf team closed out the Colonel Classic on Tuesday from the University Club at Arlington. Liz Kim led the Cardinals and tied for 11th place on the individual leaderboard.
For the final round, Kim notched one birdie on her way to a 76 (+4). Her three-round total of 225 (+9) earned her a spot tied for 11th. She tied for the team lead with six birdies. This marks the fifth time this season that Kim has finished inside the top-20.
Dylann Armstrong rocketed up 12 spots on the final day with her round of 75 (+3). She finished the tournament with five birdies. Her tournament score of 233 (+17) earned her a tie for 36th. Her total of 233 is tied for her best tournament score this season.
Tiegan Taylor recorded her best tournament mark of the season with a three-round score of 234 (+18). She moved up eight spots into a tie for 40th. She recorded one of just three eagles of the tournament and added three birdies across the three rounds. Taylor posted a mark of 76 (+4) for the final round.
Hadley Moritz and Payton Bennett both tied for 65th with a tournament total of 243 (+27). Bennett tied for the team lead with six birdies for the tournament, while Moritz had two birdies for the three rounds.
The par-72, 5,910-yard course proved to be difficult as only two individuals posted a three-round score under par and no teams produced a score under par.
The Cardinals return to action for the Mid-American Championship on the Stone Oak Country Club. The MAC Championships will begin on Friday, April 22, in Holland, Ohio.
