Isaacson Earns MIVA Defensive Player of the Week Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State graduate senior setter Quinn Isaacson (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) has been tabbed as the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) defensive player of the week.
The nations leader in assists tossed out 75 total assists to his teammates this past week registering a .434 accuracy. Isaacson also served up seven service aces and tallied 16 defensive digs in the Cardinals final two MIVA regular season matches.
Isaacson started the week off dishing out 29 assists for a .468 percent. On Saturday, Isaacson dished out 46 assists and had 11 defensive digs along with five block assists helping Ball lState move past Purdue Fort Wayne by a score of 3-1.
With Isaacson's senior leadership the veteran helped the Cardinals to win their first Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season championship title outright since 1997 and the No. 1 seed in this week's MIVA Tournament.
The Ball State men's volleyball team will host No. 8 Quincy in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday at 7 pm ET in Worthen Arena.
