Orlando, Simmons Earn MAC Doubles Team of the Week Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State juniors Vince Orlando and Parrish Simmons earned Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week which was announced Thursday by the league office. Â
This dynamic duo went 2-0 in doubles play last weekend after earning victories on court three against Binghamton and Buffalo. The twosome started the weekend off with a 6-2 defeat over Binghamton's Courage Crawford and Anshumat Srivastava helping the Cardinals claim the doubles point over the Bears.Â
On Sunday, Orlando and Simmons clinched the first point of the match versus Buffalo on Sunday after pulling off the 6-4 victory against the Bulls' Vasisht Cheruku and Simon Wibler. Â
With the wins, Orlando and Simmons helped the Cardinals go 2-0 in MAC action after Ball State posted a 7-0 sweep over the Bears and a 5-2 win against the Bulls.Â
The Ball State men's tennis team will be back in action at home this weekend when the Cardinals host Toledo on Saturday, April 2 at 2 pm ET at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center, weather permitting.Â
