Hunt, Koziol tabbed Freshman All-Americans

Tight ends earn prestigious honor from College Football News
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State's tight end duo of Brady Hunt and Tanner Koziol were selected as Freshman All-Americans, announced by College Football News Tuesday. Hunt was chosen to the first team, while Koziol earned third-team honors.
In his first full season as a tight end, Hunt was third on the team with 46 receptions for 498 yards and five touchdowns. His touchdown total tied for the 12th-most among all tight ends in college football during the regular season. In conference play alone, the Muncie, Ind. native had 34 catches for 401 yards and four scores.
The first tight end to be named First Team All-Mid-American Conference since Zane Fakes in 2013, Hunt secured multiple catches in 11 of 12 games, including six games of at least four grabs. Across the last four contests of the season, he totaled 22 receptions for 229 yards.
Koziol had a team-high seven touchdown receptions, which tied for the fifth-most in all of the FBS by a tight end and tied for the second-most among all freshmen regardless of position. In addition, he had 35 catches for 373 yards.
The Bloomingdale, Ill. native caught a touchdown in four of his first five collegiate games, racking up five scores in that span. In MAC play alone, Koziol had 23 catches for 244 yards and four touchdowns.
It total, the duo combined for 81 catches for 871 yards and 12 touchdowns. The touchdown total was more than 18 teams produced as a whole this season in the FBS.
