MUNCIE, Ind. -Â As the Ball State Football program gears up for another MAC championship run, the squad's student-led leadership has announced a summer effort to do good while preparing physically for the rigors of the season.

The Train Hard, Give Back initiative is focused on support for elementary-aged students participating in after-school programs conducted in Muncie Community Schools. With this initiative, the goal is to raise funds in support of operational costs that will help allow children in the community to be able to participate in activities that focus on fun, competing, and teamwork.

Starting today, contributions are being accepted via a GoFundMe page for Train Hard, Give Back that will run through July 30th. The team's goal is to reach $10,000.

The Ball State Football program believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the power of team sport and the long-term positive influences that can come with it.Â
