July 13, 2021 | Men's Tennis
MUNCIE, Ind. - The 2020-21 Ball State University men's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team after earning a 3.5 grade point average on Ball State's 4.0 scale. This marks the ninth straight year the Cardinals have earned the team honor.
In addition, six members of the squad received individual ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades -- seniors Chris Adams(4.0) and Bryce Bonin (3.8), along with sophomores Eli Herran (3.8), Vince Orlando (3.9), Parrish Simmons (3.6) and Abe Wojtalik (4.0). Both Adams and Bonin are four- time recipients of the award while Herran, Orlando, Simmons and Wojtalik have received the honors twice.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale). All varsity letterwinners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2020 and spring 2021).
