Baker Earns CBN All-America Honor

John Baker finished his career at Ball State as an All-American.Â
Baker, the active Division I leader in career strikeouts this year, was picked 3rd team All-American by Collegiate Baseball News. The honor came after he went 9-3 with four saves and a 2.41 ERA and 107 strikeouts. He was named first team all-conference this year and in 2019. He was a second-team all-conference selection in 2018.Â
Baker finished his prolific Ball State career with 404 strikeouts and fashioned a 27-14 record and 3.00 ERA over 55 starts and 351.1 innings. He was also a six-time conference pitcher of the week.Â
