MaQuila Norman At The NCAA East Prelim

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - MaQuila Norman measured up against the nation's best sprinters and represented Ball State well on the national stage Thursday night. Norman made the NCAA Preliminary Round field in the 200m sprint and ended up 42nd with a mark of 24.06.Â
Norman's seed time of 23.73 was 2nd in the Mid-American Conference. She placed 2nd in the 200m sprint at the conference meet with that time.
On Thursday, Norman was 6th in her heat and was one one-hundredth of a second behind a Clemson runner and .11 seconds behind a competitor from Florida.Â
Norman will run with her 4x100 relay teammates on Saturday and Charity Griffith will compete in the high jump.Â
