Kick Times Announced for Seven BSU Football Games

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The specifics of the 2021 Ball State football schedule are taking further shape with Thursday's announcement of kickoff and television information for seven games.

Among the highlights for the defending MAC champions …

The Cardinals' Thursday, Sept. 2 season opener against Western Illinois at Scheumann Stadium will kick at 7 p.m.
The team's Saturday, Sept. 11 trip to Penn State is set for 3:30 p.m. on FS1.
The Oct. 23 Homecoming matchup and Red Bird Rivalry Game with Miami will kick at 3:30 p.m.
The Tuesday, Nov. 23 game against Buffalo, a rematch of the 2020 MAC Championship, is set for 7 p.m. at Scheumann Stadium.

Through the MAC's continuing television partnerships, all of Ball State's league games will air on one of the ESPN platforms or CBS Sports Network. At least three of the Cardinals' four midweek #MACtion games in November have been set for linear TV.

The league and its TV partners will utilize 12-day windows to select kick times and TV designations for the remaining games. All BSU games can be heard on 104.1 WLBC.

The 2021 Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship is set for Saturday, Dec. 4 at noon on ESPN from Ford Field in Detroit.

Ball State returns 16 "super seniors" and 20 starters from a team that won the program's first MAC title since 1996 and won the first bowl game in school history. The Cardinals finished 7-1 to earn a year-end ranking of No. 23 in both the AP and Amway Coaches polls.
