Ball State Athletic Director in Second Season on WBB Committee
In the first edition of a new semi-regular audio series, Ball State Director of Athletics Beth Goetz sits down to discuss March Madness, the women's basketball controlled environment, and the tournament selection process.  Goetz will join Joel Godett on a semi-regular basis to discuss the state of Ball State sports and the college athletics scene in general.
Goetz, this season, is serving her second of a five-year term on the women's basketball committee, more commonly referred to as the 'selection committee.' Â The 10-person committee is responsible for selecting the 64 team women's basketball field and assisting in administering the tournament itself. Â Goetz joins Godett from San Antonio, where she's spending 28 days for the tournament. Â She discusses life in the NCAA bubble, being involved in the women's tournament and explains an inside look into the selection process and the work that goes into it well before the committee ever meets to deliberate. Â
