Two high-performing team will take the floor Sunday at Worthen Arena when Ball State gymnastics hosts Western Michigan at 3 p.m. Ball State, unbeaten this year head-to-head, is fourth in the MAC with an average meet score of 194.833. Western Michigan is second at 195.175. These were the top two teams last year, as WMU edged the Cardinals in a meet in Kalamazoo and when the conference championship was canceled the coaches voted WMU and BSU 1-2 in the league.

SENIOR DAY MEET

Sunday is the final home meet for three Cardinals - Bri Slonim, Arden Hudson and Claudia Goyco. Slonim is in the lineup on vault and also at times on balance beam. Hudson is coming off a school-record performance on balance beam last week and has been a consistent competitor during her career. This season, she has scored 9.775 or better in 12 of her 18 routines. Goyco has wowed crowds the last couple of years with her floor exercise routine. She was MAC Specialist of the Year last year and tied for the league lead in floor scoring.

MY MEET, MY CAUSE

Ball State gymnasts will be wearing different colored ribbons to highlight causes close to them. The team also will wear unity shirts during warm-ups to promote racial inclusion and diversity.

General admission to Sunday's meet is not available. Fans can follow live and watch on ESPN 3. The Cardinals have two more road meets before the conference championship on March 20. BSU competes at Kent State Sunday, March 7 and at Central Michigan Saturday the 13th.
