Women’s Golf Looking to Make a Move Tuesday in Texas

Liz Kim leads the way for BSU at Islander Classic
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Ball State women's golf team finds itself in the middle of the pack at the Islander Classic after Monday's 36 holes.
The Cardinals finished the day in seventh place at Corpus Christi Country Club. BSU was the only team to finish the second round before play was suspended by darkness. The round will be completed Tuesday morning, followed by the third and final round.
Sam Houston holds six-shot lead over tournament host Texas A&M Corpus Christi with both teams deep into their second round.
Liz Kim is the top Ball State golfer on the leaderboard in a tie for 11th place. Kim carded scores of 76 and 78 to lead the Cardinals in both rounds Monday. She is eight shots off the lead held by Sam Houston's Leah Alberto, the nation's top-ranked collegiate golfer.
Hadley Moritz and Kiah Parrott closed out Monday's action tied for 25th place, while Morgan Lewis was one shot behind them in a tie for 31st.
