Charlie’s Reading Challenge earns high marks during fall semester

In total, 38 schools took part in the program that impacted 2,920 people
MUNCIE, Ind. – The annual Charlie's Reading Challenge recorded great success for the fall of 2021 by the participating elementary schools.
Students were tasked to read four books at their reading level and complete a corresponding assignment between Sept. 6 and Oct. 5.
In total, 38 schools took part in the challenge that impacted 2,920 people across the 15 counties of Allen, Delaware, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Jay, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Randolph, Wayne and Wells.
An impressive mark of 2,699 students completed the challenge with the help of 221 teachers.
For completing the challenge, students earned two free tickets to attend either of Ball State's football game on Oct. 23 or the women's volleyball's match on Oct. 30.
Ball State Athletics also provided a keepsake bookmark for each student who completed the program.
