Ball State Set to Battle Top-Two Teams in MAC

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team returns to the pitch for a Mid-American Conference matchup with the Ohio Bobcats on Thursday, before it takes to the road for a MAC contest with the Kent State Golden Flashes. The Cardinals enter this week's matchups with a 4-7-1 overall record and are 2-3-1 in conference play.
The Cardinals have dropped the last two contests and but have only been outscored 8-7 in the last five matches. Chelcy Ralph leads Ball State with four goals and eight points. Tatiana Mason, Nicky Potts, and Lexi Fraley all have two goals apiece, in a tie for second on the team for most goals. BSU has five players with one goal. Alex DeRuvo has been the main keeper for the Cardinals and has made 40 saves on the year.
This will be the 24th meeting between the Cardinals and Bobcats. Ohio holds an 11-8-4 series lead over Ball State. BSU won the last meeting 2-1, in 2019.
