Cardinals Break Two School Records on Day One of MAC Championships
March 04, 2020 | Men's Swimming and Diving
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Some might refer to day one of the Mid-American Conference Swimming and diving championships as the least eventful considering there were only two events. The Ball State men's swimming and diving team would beg to differ as the Cardinals broke school records in both of those two events Wednesday night.

The evening began with the 200 Medley Relay when Jared Holder, Jacob Powell, Ben Andrew and Owen Chaye teamed up to clock in at 1:29.91 and top the Ball State record book in the event. Their performance was good for a fourth-place finish in the relay.

The Cardinals struck again in the very next event, this time led by Drew Weeks, Aiden Maurer, Davis Meyn and Logan Ackley. The team recorded a time of 6:41.20 in the 800 Free Relay for a second-consecutive BSU record.
