November 20, 2020 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's basketball team has unveiled its 2020-21 schedule which will operate in the "subject to change" environment moving forward as the sports world navigates the Covid-19 global pandemic.
The Cardinals are slated to open up the season Nov. 25 at UW-Milwaukee for a 6:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. CT first tip. Ball State will then host IUPUI at Worthen Arena on Nov. 30 for its home opener.
After that, the Cardinals will wrap up non-conference action on the road against Western Kentucky (Dec. 5), Big Ten foe Ohio State (Dec. 10) and Bellarmine (Dec. 14).
Mid-American Conference action this year will be a 20-game format, with Ball State opening league play on Dec. 20 at Akron before the holiday break.
The Cardinals return to action after the New Year for back-to-back home games against Bowling Green (Jan. 2) and Toledo (Jan. 6). Ball State will also close out MAC play at home against Central Michigan (March 3) and Western Michigan (March 6). Overall, the Cardinals have home-and-away matchups with every conference opponent except for Bowling Green and Kent State.
The MAC Tournament will be played in Cleveland with no first-round games. The quarterfinals will begin Wednesday (March 10) with the semifinals on Friday (March 12) and the championship game on Saturday (March 13).
