Swimming & Diving Gears up for Trio of Meets

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University swimming and diving team is back in action this week after a break for the winter.
The women's team hosts Toledo Thursday while the men travel to Evansville Friday. The busy week ends Saturday when both the men and women host Indiana State and Youngstown State for a double duel.

NOTES FOR THURSDAY
-Friday's meet has been designated at the VS Cancer Meet. The Cardinals will be attempting to raise money and awareness to fight pediatric cancer. To learn more and donate, click here.
-Ball State and Toledo last met in 2017 in a double duel with Oakland. The Cardinals fell to the Rockets by a score of 207.50 to 92.50.
-Last time out, the Cardinals finished third at the Miami Invitational with a combined team score of 913.

-Ball State and Evansville met in Muncie last season and the Aces claimed a 188-110 victory. The Cardinals last visited Evansville in January of 2018.
-The Cardinals last meet was at the Miami Invitational where they scored 1041.5 team points and finished third.
-At the Miami Invitational, senior Ben Andrew broke the school's 100 Fly record with a time of 48.37.

NOTES FOR SATURDAY
-Ball State will recognize its senior prior to Saturday's contest.
-Ball State Sports Link will produce Saturday's meet with a live stream available via Facebook.
-The women's team competed at Youngstown State earlier this season in October and claimed a 211-88 victory.
-The women narrowly edged Indiana State, 150-148, last season in a double duel with Southern Illinois. The meet came down to the very last relay in which the Cardinals secured the victory.
