The Ball State football team reported back to campus on Aug. 1 to begin preparations for the start of the 2019 season.

Aug. 13 - Five Questions with DL Emeka Jillani
Emeka Jillani is in his second year on the Ball State football team. He grew up in London, England, playing rugby and a little bit of soccer. After making the transition to American football in high school, Jillani is competing for a playing time on the defensive line this fall. Aug. 9 - Will Jones Earns a Scholarship
Friday night was a night running back Will Jones won't soon forget as he was surprised to learn he had earned a scholarship. As a redshirt freshman in 2018, he played a role on special teams and was honored with the 2018 Ball State Bill Meitzler Scout Team Player of the Year Award.Â

Aug. 5 - Paint the Town Red Day
The football team took advantage of a day off from practice to hand out football schedule posters all around campus, Muncie and the surrounding communities. By the end of the afternoon, the town was truly painted Cardinal red.

Aug. 2 - Football is Back!!!
More than 100 players hit the practice field for the first preseason practice. There were plenty of position drills and a few team segments. WR Antwan Davis made the play of the day with a diving catch along the left sideline in a 7-on-7 drill. Head coach Mike Neu and WR Riley Miller offered their thoughts following practice.
