Ball State Football Hosting #Squat4Riley19 Event on June 27
June 11, 2019 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – Every summer, the Ball State football strength and conditioning staff tests each player in various exercises and drills to evaluate and track their progress. One of those tests is a single repetition of their maximum back squat.
The strength and conditioning staff is using the squat test to help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. "Squat for Riley" is about bringing awareness and raising funds for children in need all while the football players push through a tough test in the weight room.
There are two ways for Ball State fans and supporters to get involved in this event. The first way is by generously donating a flat amount to this great cause. The second is to sponsor one or more of the football players and base the donation on the amount of weight that particular player squats.

The next time you hit the weight room and go through a set of squats, share your workout using the hashtag, #Squat4Riley.
For more information on the #Squat4Riley19 event, please contact Ball State Football Director of Strength and Conditioning Ben Armer at barmer@bsu.edu.
