Sophomore righty struck out 15 in 8 innings of work last week
After dominating performances against Indiana and Bowling Green, sophomore Drey Jameson is this week's MAC Pitcher of the Week.
It marks the third time overall and second time this season Jameson has earned the league's weekly award. Jameson was also listed as a national player of the week by Collegiate Baseball news after throwing 6.0 scoreless frames against Stanford in February.
Jameson, from Greenfield, Indiana, struck out 12 and only allowed a single run over 7.0 innings in a 4-2 win over Bowling Green on Friday, April 26. Last Tuesday, he started and pitched the 1st inning vs. #23 Indiana on what was a bullpen day. He made quick work of the top of IU's lineup, striking out the side in 14 pitches. For the week, he scattered 4 singles and held batters to a .143 average while totaling 15 strikeouts over 8.0 innings.

Jameson leads the MAC and is ranked among the national leaders in both total strikeouts (104) and strikeouts per 9 innings (14.25).
Jameson and the Cardinals - 28-15 on the year and in first place in the MAC - will play at Northern Illinois this weekend May 3-5. Two home baseball weekends remain, May 10-12 vs. Ohio and May 16-18 vs. Toledo.
