Men Record Top-10 Relay Times on Day One

OXFORD, Ohio – The men of the Ball State swimming and diving team wasted no time breaking into the school's top-10 relay times on day one of the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Ball State sits in fifth place with 56 points after the opening events while Miami leads the way with 80.
The opening event was the 200 Medley Relay in which Ben Andrew, Jacob Powell, Alec Tuthill and Zach Reichle finished fifth with a time of 1:31.87. That mark was the eighth best in Ball State history.
Next was the 800 Free Relay and the Cardinals clocked the sixth fastest time at BSU. Davis Meyn, Ryan Short, Logan Ackley and Drew Weeks finished fifth with a 6:47.17.
The championships will resume on Tuesday morning with preliminaries, and that night with finals. Live updates will be available on Twitter at @BallStateSwim and a recap with results will be posted to BallStateSports.com.
