RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Liz Kim and Morgan Lewis paced the Ball State women's golf team Saturday with rounds of 75 in the weather-delayed first round of the Rio Verde Invitational.
The duo led the Cardinals to a team score of 306 (+22), nine shots off the pace set by tournament leader Arkansas State. Shortened to 36 holes after Friday's action was completely canceled because of snow, the tournament will conclude with the final round Sunday.
Arkansas State leads by just one stroke over Boise State and by two over third-place Xavier. Twelve teams will enter the final round within 10 shots of the lead on the Quail Run Course at Rio Verde Country Club.
Kim and Lewis are tied for 16th on the individual leaderboard at 4 over par. Ball State also counted scores of 77 from Manon Tounalom and 79 from Hadley Moritz on Saturday.
They are all chasing Western Michigan's Claire Hernandez who set the opening-round pace with a 1-under par 70.
Sunday's final round is scheduled for a 1 p.m. MT (3 ET) shotgun start. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
