Setting the Stage
Ball State will get a preview of next spring's MAC Championship venue this week. Manon Tounalom, who played in the 2017 championships at Silver Lake, is the only BSU golfer who has competed there before. The field features eight of the other league teams, lacking only Kent State and Northern Illinois.
Â
The Cardinals' 299.89 team scoring average is the best in program history through three events. Tounalom and Hadley Moritz lead the way with identical marks 74.44 over the nine rounds so far this fall. The duo won MAC Golfer of the Week honors back-to-back.
Â
Moritz is coming off a career-best fourth-place finish at Colorado State's Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Liz Kim (T-11) gave the Cardinals two in the top 12.
Â
The Cardinals placed sixth out West in a 13-team field that featured 12 ranked among the nation's top 150. BSU won its own Cardinal Classic and placed third at Illinois State's Redbird Invitational earlier this fall.

#ManonTounalom just can't get any respect! Teased for her accent. Not even a thank you from her American teammates for the Statue of Liberty.
