Brown Named To The Preseason All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Junior Oshlyn Brown (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) has been selected as a member of the 2019-20 preseason All-Mid-American Conference Team, as announced by the league office today.
"Always nice to see your players' hard work and determination get recognized," Ball State head women's basketball coach Brady Sallee said. "Osh certainly has established herself as one of the best in the MAC and we look forward to watching her Junior year as it unfolds. We are all proud of her!"
Brown is a two-time post season All-MAC recipient, earning All-MAC Honorable Mention as a sophomore and was tabbed MAC Sixth Player of the Year as a freshman. Joining Brown on the Preseason All-MAC West Division Team will be Courtney Woods (Northern Illinois), Micaela Kelly (Central Michigan), Corrione Cardwell (Eastern Michigan), Breanna Mobley (Western Michigan) and Nakiah Black (Toledo).
Brown enters her junior season with 656 points and 532 rebounds. She scored a season high 25 points last year at Western Kentucky and pulled down a personal best 16 rebounds in a win over Vanderbilt her freshman season. In two years, Brown has registered 17 double-doubles. She currently ranks fourth all-time in rebounds for a single-season which she accomplished last year with 290 rebounds. She also led the Cardinals last season in scoring (12.7 ppg) and rebounding (9.4 rpg).
The Ball State women's basketball team will open its 2019-2020 season Tuesday at IUPUI beginning at 7 p.m. in Indianapolis. You can listen to the Cardinals live on Muncie Sports Station (102.9 FM/WXFN 1340 AM).
