Ball Diamond - Muncie, Indiana
Ball State fans can finish their Homecoming weekend at the ballpark Sunday afternoon when the Cardinals baseball program plays its final exhibition of the fall. The 10-inning game will start at 1:30 p.m.
Coming off a 38-19 season and a second-place finish in its league, Ball State spent the fall gearing up over the past month with exhibitions against Butler and a high-level club from Canada. BSU won both games with the pitching staff only allowing three runs over 22 innings of play.
On Sept. 28 in a 12-inning game vs. Butler, Justin Conant reached base four times to lead a balanced lineup. Ryan Peltier homered and Devin Porter smacked a ground-rule double in the 4-0 win over the Great Lakes club on Oct. 3.
Sunday's opponent, Wabash Valley, is a junior college powerhouse that went 55-4 last season (53-2 regular season). WVC won 28 games last year by 10 runs or more, so the quality of play should be high as the Cardinals close play for the fall semester.
