Frazier Signs Professional Contract To Play Overseas
September 13, 2018 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. - Former Ball State guard Frannie Frazier will continue her basketball career this fall after signing a contract with the Limerick Celtics of the Women's National League in Ireland.
As a senior, Frazier played in 32 games while making 31 starts. She registered career highs with 20 points at Tennessee State (11/22/17), 11 rebounds against Missouri State (12/7/17), eight steals at Kent State (1/20/18) and three 3-pointers against Oakland City (12/10/17). Frazier helped the Cardinals to the best non-conference start in program history last season after Ball State posted an 11-0 ledger, including wins over Purdue, Vanderbilt, Butler and Western Kentucky. The Cardinals reached as high as No. 21 in the RPI.
"The game of basketball has given me so many opportunities, like getting a free education, traveling the world and creating relationships that will last a lifetime," Frazier said. "In the future, I would like to maybe coach and give others these great opportunities that I was able to experience."
Frazier closed her career being a part of four postseason WNIT teams. As a true freshman in 2015, Frazier helped the Cardinals win the Mid-American Conference West Division title for the first time since 2009. The Cardinals also took a trip to Middle Tennessee for the first round of the WNIT. The following year, Ball State advanced to the second round of the WNIT after the Cardinals pulled off a 77-72 upset over Big Ten foe Iowa. In Frazier's junior season, the Cardinals traveled to Big Ten foe Indiana for the first round. She would then finish her career helping Ball State defeat Middle Tennessee, 69-60, in Worthen Arena to advance to the second round against Big Ten foe Purdue this past season.
