Women's Volleyball To Tour Europe May 16-27

In a few short weeks, members of the Ball State women's volleyball program will pack their bags and head to Europe for an 12-day (May 16-27) international tour. The Cardinals will competing against various European Club and Junior National Teams while traveling through Prague, the Czech Republic, Austria (Salzburg and Innsbruck) and Italy (Trento, Verona, Milan and Rome).
This opportunity will not only allow the group to grow as a team, but also provide a meaningful and educational experience to the program's student-athletes.
The NCAA allows programs to go on an international tour once every four years. Ball State women's volleyball has not taken an international trip since 2004, but moving forward, the program hopes to make this educational experience available to every four-year letterwinner.
The program prides itself in working hard to compete at a high level versus both domestic and international competition. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience for the program's student-athletes, and they are excited for this opportunity.

EUROPEAN TOUR ITINERARY
May 16: Depart from Muncie for Europe
May 17: Arrive to Prague and tour Prague
May 18: Tour Prague and match that evening
May 19: Tour Old Town and match that evening
May 20: Travel to Salzburg and Innsbruck, Austria
May 21: Bus through the Alps to Trento
May 22: Full day in Alps with match in that eveningÂ
May 23: Bus to Venice for sightseeing on the canals, then head to Bologna by train
May 24: Sightseeing in Bologna and match that evening
May 25: Take the train to Rome and sight see the Colosseum, Forum, Piazza Novana and Trevi FountainÂ
May 26: Tour the Vatican and St. Peter's and match that evening
May 27: Fly home
