Women’s Tennis Falls as Buffalo Clinches Regular Season Title

Cardinals to close regular season Sunday at Akron
BUFFALO -- The Ball State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision Friday in Mid-American Conference action at Buffalo.
The Bulls (15-3, 8-0 MAC) clinched the MAC regular season championship. The Cardinals (10-10, 2-5 MAC) still have one league match remaining, a Sunday contest at Akron.
Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington earned a 6-3 win at the No. 1 doubles position for the Cardinals, but Buffalo took the other two spots in close matches to take the doubles point.
The Bulls then swept the six singles matches to secure an undefeated MAC record. UB will be the No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament, which Ball State will host next weekend.
The Cardinals' regular season finale at Akron is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. BSU can clinch a spot in the tournament with a win.
