Men’s Volleyball Adds Felix Egharevba to Incoming Class

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's volleyball team is happy to announce the addition of Felix Egharevba to the 2018-19 incoming class.
Egharevba is a solid right-side attacker hailing from Naperville, Illinois. He competed at Naperville Central High School where he earned three varsity letters. Egharevba earned multiple honors throughout his high school career including third team all-state, academic all-conference, first time all-conference and Most Valuable Player.
The team captain also holds the school record for single season blocks, which he set during his junior season. During that season, Egharevba averaged 1.01 blocks per set along with a .414 hitting percentage. As a senior, he totaled 67 digs and a .301 hitting percentage. Egharevba is a three-time all-tournament team member who helped his team to a regional final and regional semifinal during his career.
The Illinois native also competed for three years on the Sports Performance Volleyball Club. He helped his team to a third place finish in 2016 along with a first place finish at the Dennis Lafata Bid Tournament in 2018.
Egharevba will be majoring in nursing with a minor is either pre-med or kinesiology.
"I chose Ball State because it fit me both academically and athletically," Egharevba said. "I had a great bond with the guys and felt like I was a part of the team on my official visit. The coaches are great and I believe I can be successful under their coaching. Academically, I am in the Honors College, which is one of the best academic achievements I've ever received. The Nursing School is wonderful at Ball State. Overall, I believe I made a great decision by choosing Ball State."
