Women's Golf Seventh Through Two Rounds at Spring Break Shootout

Cardinals feature three in top 35, led by Manon Tounalom in 16th place
DADE CITY, Fla. -- The Ball State women's golf team carded rounds of 311 and 305 Monday to find itself in seventh place out of 14 teams at the Spring Break Shootout.
Manon Tounalom leads the Cardinals in 16th place with one round left at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club. Tounalom fired rounds of 78 and 74 to post a 36-hole total of 152 (+8). Teammates Liz Kim (+10), Emily Knouff (+11) and Sydney Anderson (+12) join her in the top 35 of the 84-golfer field.
Tournament co-host Western Kentucky leads the way at 590 (+14), while Jacksonville (+20) is second and the other co-host Florida Gulf Coast (+28) is third. The Cardinals owns a 36-hole mark of 616 (+40).
Western Kentucky's Mary Joiner holds the individual lead at 2 under par, four shots clear of the field.
Ball State counted scores of 77 from Kim and Anderson along with Tounalom's 78 and a 79 from Knouff in Monday's morning round. In the afternoon, the Cardinals counted Tounalom's 74 along with a 76 from Knouff, another 77 from Kim and a 78 from Morgan Nadaline.
Ball State also has a pair of golfers competing as individuals this week; Reece Malapit and Holly Anderson matched each other with totals of 160 (+16) over Monday's two rounds.
The third and final round of the Spring Break Shootout is set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday. Updated scores are available every nine holes at birdiefire.com.
