Tounalom, Knouff Fire 76's at Rio Verde

Cardinals ninth as a team with two rounds left
RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Manon Tounalom and Emily Knouff led the Ball State women's golf team with rounds of 76 on the opening day of the Rio Verde Invitational.
The duo is tied for 15th place out of 97 golfers with two rounds still to play on the Quail Run course at Rio Verde Country Club.
Ball State is tied for ninth out of 17 teams in the field after an opening-round score of 314 (+26). The Cardinals also counted a 78 from Morgan Nadaline and an 84 from Liz Kim.
UALR (+17) leads the way, followed by Akron (+18) and Seton Hall (+19). Akron's Jacinta Pikunas holds the individual lead after opening with a 71.
The second round will be played Saturday and the final round Sunday.
