Gymnastics Sets Out for Northern Illinois

MUNCIE, Ind.,-- The Ball State gymnastics team will travel to Dekalb, Ill., to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies for a Mid-American Conference dual Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2 P.M. CT.
"We are excited to get back on the road again," head coach Joanna Saleem said. "We have had a long training week and we are itching to get back out on the competition floor and compete some solid gymnastics against a great MAC competitior."
Last week against Iowa Jordyn Penny claimed second place on bars scoring a 9.825. Kaitlyn Menzione tied with Maddie Macdonald for third place both scoring 9.775.
On vault Bri Slonim scored a 9.825 landing her in second place overall.Â
The team rotated to floor where Freshman Tia Kiaku claimed second place with a 9.825.
Lastly, on beam Baylee Bell stood second place with a score of 9.775.
Kaitlyn Menzione took second in the all-around competition scoring a 38.800.

The Cardinals return to Worthen Arena Sunday, March 4 to compete against MAC opponent Eastern Michigan on Senior Day. The team will host Olympic Silver Medalist and NCAA Champion Samantha Peszek as the meet's special guest.
