Men’s Tennis Closes Day Two Of Purdue Fall Invite

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team closed day two of action at the Purdue Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals completed their second day of a 3-day tournament that involved 18 teams.
Marko Guzina found success in the singles consolation flight where he won a three set thriller, but fell in the finals. True freshman Danilo Kovacevic advanced to the championship round by a score of 6-3, 7-6 (4) and will advance in the finals against Maksymillian Raupuk of Purdue on Sunday at 9 a.m. In Flight B, Bryce Bonin won a bonus match 6-4, 2-6, 10-3 over San Andres of Marquette.
The Canadian twin duo of Marko and Nemanja Guzina advanced to the championship match of the consolation competition in the doubles Flight A. Thibault DeNegri and Kovacevic will play the twosome of Lachlan Napier and James Ling of Wisconsin, Green Bay. Conner Andersen and Chris Adams won by a score of 6-4. The duo of Tom Carney and Bryce Bonin were also winners today.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues fall action at the Purdue Fall Invitational Sunday, first serve begins at 9 a.m.
