Four Men’s Tennis Players Compete At Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team sent four players to compete at the Old Gold and Black Classic this weekend which was hosted on the campus of Purdue University.

In singles play, Tom Carney defeated IUPUI's Furhan Siddiki in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4. Alec Robillard also took down Siddiki, 6-3, 7-6 and defeated the Jaguars Michael Koch, 7-5, 6-0. Rounding out the singles victories over the weekend was Khamasi Muhiga who beat IUPUI's Eric Hollingsworth, 6-3, 7-5.

The Cardinals brought home three doubles victories, Bryce Bonin alongside Carney registered an 8-4 win against IUPUI. The duo of Muhiga and Robillard beat the Jaguars twosome of Siddiki and Koch, 8-4 and then also captured an 8-6 defeat over IUPUI's Hollingsworth and Colton Morehart.

The Ball State men's tennis team will wrap up its fall action when it competes at the MAC Indoors in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Nov. 9-Nov. 11. The tournament will be hosted by Western Michigan.
