Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Two At UofL Invite

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, - The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up its second day of action at the Louisville Fall Invite Saturday afternoon.

Marko Guzina advanced to the consolation championship match in the singles A bracket after defeating Wenc Albin of Tennessee Tech 7-6, 6-3. Chris Adams faced teammate Danilo Kovacevic in flight B singles but fell to the true freshman in a three set thriller, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.

In the singles flight C competition, Conner Andersen and Bryce Bonin both moved on in their respective brackets today. Andersen took down Butler's David Faulkner in the semifinals, 7-5, 7-5 and will take on his teammate Bonin in the championship match Sunday. Bonin reached the finals after beating David Skrabut of Lipscomb, 6-0, 6-2.

To round out the singles winners today, Khamasi Muhiga beat fellow Cardinal Tom Carney in a three set battle, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. Khamasi will play Middle Tennessee State's Jacob Pugh in the finals.

In doubles action, the Ball State twosome of Adams and Andersen advanced to the championship match after taking down Caleb Buckman and Sam Rueff, 8-7 (7-2). Carney and Bonin were victorious over Gonzalo Garcia and Carlos Vicente, 6-3. Muhiga and Alec Robillard also moved on in doubles play
