Adams and Carney Earn MAC Doubles Team of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State freshman Chris Adams paired up with junior Tom Carney last week at No. 3 doubles and earned Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week due to their success on the court. The announcement was made by the league office Wednesday.
The Cardinals No. 3 duo combined for a 3-0 record for the week, helping Ball State post a 2-1 mark in its opening week of spring action.Â
Adams and Carney started competition off with a 6-3 win over Big Ten foe Indiana last Monday, helping Ball State secure the point over the Hoosiers. On Saturday, the twosome registered a 6-1 victory over Eastern Illinois before closing the weekend with a 6-1 defeat against Belmont.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues its 2018 non-conference season when it travels to Xavier Friday, Feb. 3 for a 1 p.m. first serve in Cincinnati, Ohio.
