Peighton Gilbert Named This Week’s MAC Swimmer of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. – Sophomore Peighton Gilbert was named this week's Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Thursday morning.

Gilbert was honored for her performance last weekend against Xavier, IUPUI and University of Indianapolis. Gilbert was the last leg on winning 200 medley relay, which posted a time of 1:48.10. She was also on the 400 freestyle relay, which earned second place against IUPUI and University of Indianapolis with a time of 3:40.53. Individually, Peighton won the 50 freestyle vs. IUPUI and University of Indianapolis with a final time of 24.47.

The Ball State women's swimming and diving team will be in action again on Jan. 20 at Eastern Michigan.
