MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's volleyball team is happy to announce the addition of two new members to the 2017-18 roster, David Siebum and Zach Nielsen.
Siebum (St. Louis, Mo., St. John Vianney High School) is a junior transfer from Quincy University. Last season as a sophomore for Hawks, Siebum tallied 281 kills, 21 assists, 22 service aces, 122 digs, and 24 total blocks. In high school, the outside attacker earned four letters at St. John Vianney. Siebum earned honorable mention all-state as a freshman, second team all-state as a sophomore and junior and first team all-state as a senior. He was also first team all-conference as a sophomore, junior and senior. Siebum will be a great addition to the Cardinals' junior class.
Along with Siebum, the Cardinals are excited to welcome Zach Nielsen (Hartland, Wis., Arrowhead High School). The outside hitter was second team all-state as a junior and first team all-state as a senior. He also earned first team all-conference honors as a junior and senior.
Siebum will join the Cardinals' junior class along Parker Swartz and Adam Wessel. Nielsen joins an impressive freshman class along with Ben Chinnici, Ryan Dorgan, Will Hippe, Quinn Isaacson, and Colin Ensalaco.
The Ball State men's volleyball team began classes in August and is working hard to prepare for the 2018 season.
