Ball State Athletics, Pepsi and BSUDM Team Up For the Kids
September 14, 2017 | General
MUNCIE, Ind. – Once again, Ball State Athletics through Team Ball State Partner Pepsi, is thrilled to partner with Ball State Dance Marathon (BSUDM) in its efforts to support Riley Hospital for Children.
"Partnering with Ball State's largest philanthropic student organization makes a lot of sense on several levels," Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement Shawn Sullivan said. "Thanks to Pepsi we are able to support BSUDM's mission while creating more excitement surrounding our home athletic events."
For select home events, Pepsi and Ball State Athletics will donate $1 for every Ball State student who attends that event. In addition, the athletics department will welcome Riley families to home events. BSUDM will assist in the promotion of these events to the student body.
Although additional home events will be added, here is the preliminary list of Ball State Athletics events that will support BSUDM by donating $1 per student I.D. in attendance:
Football – Sept. 16 vs. Tennessee Tech
Soccer – Sept. 29 vs. Ohio
Women's Volleyball – Oct. 27 vs. Central Michigan
"BSUDM is extremely excited to be partnering with Ball State Athletics once again this year," said Morgan Polizzi, President of BSUDM 2018. "We are so grateful for all that Ball State Athletics has done for BSUDM, and we know that with our partnership we will simply bring our campus and community together for a great cause while supporting athletics. It's truly a win-win for both of us."
About Ball State University Dance Marathon: "Ball State University Dance Marathon aims to inspire a diverse community to come together for the children and families of Riley Hospital for Children. We aim to become the premiere student-run philanthropic organization at Ball State University in support of Riley Hospital for Children. We aim to be the primary source of annual funding for the Magic Castle Cart and the Palliative Care Program at Riley Hospital for Children. Lastly we aim to create a powerful, transformative experience for Ball State University students, staff, and community members through our Dance Marathon by celebrating enduring hope, lifelong healing, and lasting friendships in honor of our Riley kids and families."
