Tounalom Leads Women’s Golf on Day One in Illinois

Cardinals sitting 10th as a team with one round to play
NORMAL, Ill. -- Sophomore Manon Tounalom is tied for 12th place to lead the Ball State women's golf team after 36 holes Sunday at Illinois State's Redbird Invitational.
Tounalom sits at 153 (+9) after rounds of 78 and 75 at Weibring Golf Club. Ball State's Emily Knouff, competing as an individual, is also among top 20. The freshman is tied for 17th at 155 (+11) following rounds of 78 and 77.
Knouff is one of three Cardinals making their collegiate debuts this week, along with Holly Anderson and Liz Kim. Ball State finds itself 10th among the 12 teams in the field entering the final round with a score of 635 (+59).
Bradley (+32) sits atop the team leaderboard with a five-shot advantage over second-place Western Illinois. Bradley's Ally Scaccia is the only player in red figures, holding a four-shot edge on the individual leaderboard at 2 under par.
The third and final round of the Redbird Invitational will be played Sunday.
