Andersen & Stutz Earn MAC Doubles Team Of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Seniors Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz of the Ball State men's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday night.
Andersen partnered up with teammate Stutz on the top court this past weekend in MAC action. The No. 1 doubles twosome registered a 2-0 record over their respective opponents at Western Michigan and versus Toledo. The senior duo opened the weekend against the Broncos where they took down the nationally ranked doubles tandem of No. 74 Daniel Loebel and Kennosuke Nouchi by a score of 6-2 at the No. 1 spot. Andersen and Stutz then capped the weekend off with a 7-6 (12-10) victory over Toledo's Stjepan Sisko and Thawin Suksathaporn, helping the Cardinals to a 6-1 win over the Rockets.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues Mid-American Conference play at home Saturday against Northern Illinois. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. first serve at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center, weather permitting.
